I’m so excited to be part of Christa Watson’s Fandangle Fabric Blog Hop this week! Earlier this spring, Christa asked me if I wanted to use her new fabric line, Fandangle, in one of my patterns. Of course, I said yes, because these fabrics are just the kind of tonal fabrics I love working with!
I usually like to let the color do the talking rather than the fabric pattern, and Christa’s fabrics are just right for that. I especially loved that she included two grays, which made this line perfect for the design I had been working on. Her two multicolored prints, which I used in the small pinwheels, are just multicolored enough to tie the whole line together. The quilt I made is called “Pinwheel Rings,” and is based on the “Block and Ring” quilt block I saw in a charming antique quilt.
I had a couple of blocks in additional prints left over after finishing the quilt, so I decided to make a matching pillow.
Clearly, I need to make matching pillows for my quilts more often!
The pattern is available in PDF and in paper format and includes 3 quilt sizes—use code FANDANGLEHOP to get 15% off through Sunday.
If you’d like a chance to win a bundle of 8 fat quarters from this line, enter using the Raffecopter widget below! The fabric giveaway is open to U.S. shipping addresses only—but if you’re outside the U.S., leave me a comment with a fun fact about your country and I’ll choose a winner to receive a digital copy of the Pinwheel Rings pattern! And, be sure to visit all of the stops on the blog hop for additional chances to win.
Follow along on each day of our Fandangle hop!
