I managed to finish a some-time UFO before the holidays: Gnome Forest. The blocks in this quilt were improv pieced by my Stash Bee hive in 2015. I tried to arrange everyone’s blocks in a light-to-dark gradient from top to bottom, depending on the shades of green used.

I loved your Trees and Gnomesblock from the first time I saw it, so much so I requested it in my Bee last year. Love how you added the big tree as a focal point, just what it needed. Wonderful finish with the perfect quilting. Love it.

It’s so much fun! I made some blocks from your tutorial for another bee in 2017 (for Kate, who posted above!) It’s such a fun idea and I love how yours looks! The big tree in the middle is especially fun.

Congratulations on the finish. I remember when you requested these blocks in the Stash Bee! I really like the additional larger improv tree you added as a focal point.
