I wrote a book!
I have been keeping this secret for so long, and I’m so happy that I finally get to let the proverbial cat out of the bag. There will of course be lots more details in the months to come, but for now I want to tell you that this is a book to teach you how to design your own quilts using negative space. Negative space can be such an intimidating design element, so I walk you step-by-step through the design process for each patterned quilt, and for many more quilt designs. You’ll learn about different design techniques for using negative space, starting with a traditional block or an existing quilt, so that you will feel empowered to try designing your own quilts.
It will be published through C&T Publishing’s Stash Books imprint, and will be out in February—just in time for QuiltCon! Stay tuned for more details…

I absolutely LOVE your new quilt! Wonderful colors and pattern and loopy quilting. Big Red looks like a fine piece of machinery and I”m sure you will have loads of fun with him. And brakes certainly are an added bonus! I”m guessing Aflack has been hogging the meal plate. That”s why Charlie Chan has no butt. Give him more food. 😉
I can’t wait! I don’t really like many of the modern quilts I’ve seen, BUT your quilts are AMAZING!!! I enjoy designing my own quilts though so I’m planning on buying your book.
