My local guild held their biannual quilt show a few months ago, and I’m only now getting a chance to go through my photos and do a little photo dump of my favorite quilts from the show!

The show has a modern category, although there were plenty of cool quilts, and quilts I’d consider modern, in other categories. This one may have been one of my very favorites:

I loved this Cathedral Windows quilt—a block I have not yet attempted, but this fabulous quilt made me want to try!

For you Swifties out there, there was this pixel quilt.

This was another one of my favorite quilts from the show.

I loved this pumpkin wallhanging. I originally thought those were mushrooms, but I now see they are crows.

Best of Show was this rainbow-y goodness!

Finally, although I only entered two quilts this time around, both of them won ribbons. Cool Pool won third in the Modern category:

And Modern Vintage won Best Machine Quilting. (I won this ribbon for the domestic machine quilting on Main Sequence about 10 years ago, and ever since getting my longarm, my goal has been to win it again for longarm quilting. Success!) I’ll have more to say on this quilt soon, as I’m finishing up the pattern for it.

It’s a talented group, and I’m looking forward to having a few more entries in a couple years’ time!
